In the style of Charles Dudouyt, this piece reflects the postwar fascination with medieval forms reinterpreted through modernist clarity. The carved motif—a recessed bull’s-eye framed in architectural moldings—recalls the rustic abstraction seen in French design of the 1940s and ’50s, where massing, form, and shadow did the work of ornament.
Carved from solid oak, the cabinet is grounded by splayed bracket legs that introduce a subtle kinetic lift.
